We’ve all relaxed our screen time rules a bit during the shelter-in-place order. Whether it was for them to keep in touch with friends or for us to keep sane, the big question now is: How to transition back to healthier levels of screen time?
In this group coaching session you, together with 4 other families, get a chance to share your challenges and learn techniques that help avoid the power struggle. This session works best for families with kids ages 6 and up.
Especially for you, the early users of the Family5 app, we’ve applied a one-time discount of 50%.
The crisis has impacted every aspect of our lives. Combining work and family life was already a challenge but now also with homeschooling during shelter-in-place, things have gone to a whole new level.
While screen time was often a subject of struggle, during difficult times like these most of us have relaxed some of our rules and allowed for extra time. Although this may have helped you keep sanity and peace in the family at times, things will go to a new normal. This means that some of the temporary screen time privileges will need to be adjusted.
We will kick off with a Question & Answer and Content Zoom call. Tina will teach you clear strategies and effective tactics that fit your home situation and will boost your confidence. Two weeks later, the second call will focus on successes and trouble-shooting the rough spots that might remain. The group format gives you the opportunity to learn about what works for others, as well!
Tina has over 20 years of experience as a parent coach in the US, and she’s certified almost 500 people to be parent coaches from all over the world. She is author of the highly rated “Present Moment Parenting: The Guide to a Peaceful Life with Your Intense Child”. As a former school psychologist, she has expertise in school- and home-related issues, with specialties in, but not limited to, special needs children, divorce, foster care and adoption.
You (Tina) listened to me and really seemed to hear where I was coming from. You offered excellent suggestions for useful methods to try, and suggested meaningful words and phrases to help my kids understand where I am coming from. You helped build my confidence too - before our first session I really felt like I was doing it all wrong. Not only did you assure me that wasn’t true but rather you pointed out all of the things that I was doing right.
What a milestone Evan has accomplished. We just wanted to send you a quick thank you for all of your help and to give you some good news on his progress. We will keep in touch. I think it is important for parents to get the “real life” view of [this] approach and the effectiveness in using a parent/teacher coach.
The profound insight is the fact that indeed, we are changing the chemistry in our child’s brain with the success mentoring strategy. I will say that since I have met you our lives at home have changed dramatically for the better.
Working with Tina has actually brought us together as partners in parenting.
How will this group coaching session help me?
You will come out of this session with clear tactics, strategies and other insights that will help you and your family deal with screen time related struggles.
What is included in this Masterclass?
1 hour interactive kick-off coaching session via Zoom
Practical instructions on how to track progress
Mid course check-in with reminders of strategies and tactics
1 hour reflection and coaching session via Zoom
Do I need to attend with my partner?
That’s entirely up to you. Some families do and some families don’t. It is however recommended to share the things you’ll be learning with the other parents or caregivers in the household.
Do I have to share my personal situation with the group?
In group coaching we’re all learning from each other. Most parents find it extremely helpful to hear how other parents are tackling the same situations in their homes. Their questions for the coach may apply to you as well. Tina creates a very open and trusting environment, but of course you decide how much you want to share with the group.
What if I’m not available on one of these dates?
That is too bad! However, we will do this Masterclass again on different dates. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested and we’ll notify you once a new session is scheduled.
Can I also book 1-on-1 coaching with Tina?
We get this question quite often. During the session Tina will share her contact details and you can request 1-on-1 coaching with her. If Tina is fully booked you can check out the Family5 Expert network for other available coaches or book another group session instead.
