“NO. I don’t WANT to.” “You’re not the boss of me!” “You’re a poopy-head!” I’m going to hit you a million thousand times!” Do these big feelings and behaviors sound familiar? Have you ever wondered why your child seems so out of control and doesn’t listen to you?
Parent Shares are Group Coaching sessions offering you the opportunity to join alongside Alice and a small group of parents with similar struggles and concerns. You will find support and encouragement, and will gain new insight and skills for handling challenging situations in relationship-building ways; for understanding your child’s developmental needs. Self-care strategies (Yes! It is possible) and the Power of PAUSE will be an integral part of our sessions.
About this Coaching Session
You’ll have the opportunity to share your stories and listen to other parents in a safe and comfortable space. We will explore what you can do to move through your particular challenges feeling calmer, more confident, and truly connected with your child and what works best for you and your family in order to thrive. You will gain knowledge on what your child’s developmental needs are, how these influence their behavior and how you can be certain you are addressing them in healthy and relationship-building ways.
The session is recommended for parents of children ages 2 to 6, but all are welcome to join.
During our 1-hour long video meeting you will be asked questions that help you share your stories, as well as discover what is going well within your particular challenges. Our conversation will flow in productive and affirming ways, leaving you with clear steps you can take to help improve your family life; to feel confident you are supporting your child’s healthy growth and development; and to feel more confident, calmer, and connected in positive ways with your child.
After registration you will receive a confirmation email with the Zoom meeting details. You are requested to install the Zoom Video meeting application on your computer (recommended), phone or tablet. You can download their free software here: https://zoom.us/. About 10 minutes before the session starts you will receive a reminder with the Zoom meeting details.

Do I need to attend with my partner?
That’s entirely up to you. Some families do and some families don’t. It is however recommended to share the things you’ll be learning with the other parent or caregivers in the household.
Do I have to share my personal situation with the group?
In group coaching we are all learning from each other. Most parents find it extremely helpful to hear how other parents are tackling the same situations in their homes. Their questions for the coach may apply to you as well. Coaching is always in a very open and trusting environment, but of course you decide how much you want to share with the group.
What if I’m not available on the date of the session?
This coaching class is ongoing so we’ll be sharing the dates of the next sessions soon. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested and we’ll notify you once a new session is scheduled.
Can I also book 1-on-1 coaching with the Coach?
At the moment Family5 only offers Group Coaching sessions. We do this keep it affordable and accessible. However, you are free to ask the Coach for contact details and request 1-on-1 coaching. If the coach is fully booked you can check out the Family5 Expert network for other available coaches or book another group session instead.
