I think we can all agree that there is a lot going on in the world to feel stressed or anxious about. This applies to everyone in your family, not just you, or just your kids. And yes, it affects how we treat each other at times. I know all about it.
Luckily, Mindfulness has taught me how to cope with pretty much every curve ball life throws at us. Practising Mindfulness increases a sense of calmness and improves emotion regulation. It helps with being more self-aware and improves attentiveness and control impulse. These, and many other benefits have helped millions of people find calm and regain balance in their lives.
I look forward to guiding you and your child(ren) in finding your calm.
About this workshop
Mindfulness means paying full attention to something, whatever it is. It means slowing down to really notice what you’re doing. Being mindful is the opposite of rushing or multitasking. When you’re mindful, you’re taking your time. You’re focusing in a relaxed, easy way.
For parents and children together. I offer one session for parents aged 6 to 9 and another for 10 to 12 years old. They are interchange-able but the younger kids tend to have a harder time focussing so there might be a bit more guidance needed.
Mindfulness provides kids with simple, practical tools to work directly with their nervous systems, helping them regulate emotional states and focus attention. These improved concentration skills, translate to improved performance. It helps children do better in sports, school or arts. Everyone does better when we’re paying attention to what we’re doing.
This Family Mindfulness workshop consists of 3 sessions. We start with learning the basic focusing skills and calming our minds. In the Mindful of Senses session we learn to focus on just one thing, like taste, sound or our own breath. In the second session we expand our awareness and mindfulness to the whole body. And in the last session we focus on the mind and bring it all together.

That is too bad! However, it’s quite likely we will do this Workshop again on different dates. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested and we’ll notify you once a new session is scheduled.
